Like I mentioned before, there are a lot of characters in the anime world who are very similar. But the ones in this anime were downright copied.
Personally, I don't find anything wrong with that. In Card Captor, Sakura and Syaoran were too young to have their "forever". But this one seemed more mature. Also, the plot is very unique.
If you ask me, I prefer this anime over Card Captors (although I loved that one too).
